Rajasthan Heritage Tour

Rajasthan is a fairy tale universe unto itself, its culture made of fables and myths, of golden deserts and sparkling lakes, ancient havelis (manors), impenetrable fortresses and magnificent palaces. Day 01: Arrival in Delhi
eLand Holidays representative will welcome you at the Delhi airport and will help you in hotel transfer. Check in at your pre booked hotel and relax for a while. Stay overnight at the hotel.
If arrival will be in daytime, you will step out for a short tour to Delhi’s Akshardham – a perfect place to spend evening witnessing the perfect combination of technology with mythology.

Day 02: Delhi’s Sightseeing Tour
Soon after a lip smacking breakfast at the hotel, step out for your Historical tour of Rajasthan with a sightseeing tour in Delhi, the national capital and witness the peaceful coexistence of Mughal, colonial and contemporary architecture.
The highlights of your Delhi sightseeing tour are- Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb and India Gate. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delhi.

Day 03: Drive from Delhi to Mandawa (257 km)
Early morning breakfast will be followed by drive to your next destination – Mandawa. On arrival, check in at your pre booked hotel. Freshen up and leave for sightseeing tour in Mandawa.

Known as the “open art gallery”, Mandawa is a small town that has many Havelies and temples. The Havelis, mansions of the erstwhile rich Marwari traders were profusely frescoed inside and outside and some of these are still in good shape. Visit the Fort - the terrace of the rugged Fort provides a panoramic view of the town. Overnight will be at the hotel.

Day 04: Drive from Mandawa-Bikaner (200 km)
After breakfast you will be picked from the hotel and drive by car to Bikaner transfer to hotel. Afternoon guided city tour of Bikaner. The city is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th-century fort housing old palaces, temples and a mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 bastions, a line of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. An enormous arched doorway leads to the Joramal temple. The royal chapel is Har Mandir where royal weddings and births were once celebrated. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 05: Bikaner-Jaisalmer (333 km)
Early morning breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a drive to the next destination of Rajasthan Historical Tour – the Golden City of Jaisalmer. Admired for its impressive havelis, palaces and temples, Jaisalmer houses the only living fort of the country.

Check-in at the pre booked hotel will be followed by sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer for you to discover the unrivaled exquisiteness and magnificence of Jaisalmer fort. Also visit the Nathmalji Ki Haveli, Salim Singhji-ki-Haveli, Patwan Ki Haveli, and Manek Chowk.
Overnight stay will be at hotel in Jaisalmer.

Day 06: Excitement of a Camel Safari at Jaisalmer
On the sixth day of your Historical Tour to Rajasthan add excitement to your charismatic India tour. Visit Khuri village which will be the start point for your adventurous camel safari tour to the renowned Sam Sand Dunes. Experience the village life of Rajasthan from a step closer. Enjoy the twilight at the Sunset Point to have a stunning view of shifting hues of the desert sand. Indulge yourself the mesmerizing folk and cultural performances till late evening.
Overnight stay will be at the tented camp at the Khuri sand dunes and spend your night with the cultural and folk performances.

Day 07: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur (264 km)
After early morning breakfast you will be transferred to hotel in Jaisalmer to collect your bags and head towards your next destination – Jodhpur also known as the Sun City of India. Check-in at your pre booked hotel in Jodhpur, get over the fatigue of journey. In the evening you will go out for sightseeing tour in Jodhpur.
Jodhpur Sightseeing tour highlights are spectacular Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and magnificent vistas of Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 08: Jodhpur-Luni (35 km)
After breakfast step out explore Luni – visit the cosseted village that reflects a glorious past through its magnificent architecture and exquisiteness. The graceful architectural magnum opus, Fort Chanwa is the best part of sightseeing tour in Luni. Enjoy the whole day roving around the pretty Luni village and enjoy the luxury of staying at the heritage hotel- Palace Chanwa, Luni.

Day 09: Luni-Ranakpur-Udaipur (290 km)
Morning depart for Udaipur by car enroute visiting jain temples at Ranakpur. The Jain temples of Ranakpur built in the 15th century are situated in the lovely valley of the Aravali. Its surroundings are quite and picturesque. Ranakpur has grand structures and sculpture. There are 1444 pillars in the temple and none of them are similar. The magic of light and shade is really awe inspiring. Surya temple and other Jain temples are side attractions. Later proceed to Udaipur.

Day 10: In Udaipur
Morning city tour of Udaipur, a splash of colour in Rajasthan that is brighter when tinged with the tones of local lore and legends. Visit the City Palace, built in 1725, which houses the Dilkhush Mahal, Sheesh Mahal - studded with glittering Belgium Mirrors, Moti Mahal and the Palace of Lord Krishna all of which are ornately decorated. Later visit the Jagdish Temple. This temple built in 1651 is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver in the Hindu Trinity of Gods. Also visit the Sahelion Ki Bari - gardens of the maids-of-honour, with beautiful lawns, gardens and fountains. Later drive around the Fatehsagar Lake.
Evening boat cruise on Lake Pichola surrounded by splendid hills, palaces, temples, bathing ghats and embankments. Visit the island palace Jag Mandir which is beautifully set in the lake.
Overnight will be at hotel.

Day 11: Udaipur-Deogarh (135 km)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Deogarh village. Post check-in at your pre booked hotel in Deogarh, you will leave for Deogarh sightseeing tour. This village holds the school of miniature paintings. Also discover the culture of the village along with the vibrant markets and take pleasure in walking through the narrow alleys. Special attractions of the sightseeing tour in Deogarh will be Deogarh Mahal, Manastamba( a cluster of 31 Jain temples) Dashavtar Temple, and Chanderi (famous for chanderi brocades and saris). Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Deogarh.

Day 12: Deogarh-Jaipur (280 km)
Post breakfast at the hotel you will be driven to the next destination on Rajasthan Historical Tour - Jaipur. Check-in at your pre booked hotel in Jaipur and spend rest of the day at leisure.

Later in the evening, you will step out for an exciting tour of Chokhi Dhani - an ethnic village resort. This resort allows you to learn about the cultural and traditional heritage of Rajasthan. Folk Dances, Delicious Rajasthani Cuisine, and several other activities mark the evening at Chokhi Dhani.

Day 13: Sightseeing tour in Jaipur
Set in the scenic location of a beautiful desert, Jaipur was the first planned city of the country which is much evident from the city’s infrastructure and network system. With its historical past, Jaipur revives legends of the ancient Rajputs. Jaipur is manifested with rugged hills crowned by magnificent forts and palaces and is blessed with beautiful mansions and gardens. There is a timeless quality to Jaipur's bazaars and its people. The traditional attire of women and the turbans of men add spectacular hues to this fascinating city. Later visit City palace and its museum, Hawa Mahal, the astronomical observatory Jantar Mantar, various other monuments and picturesque looking markets. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 14: Jaipur-Bharatpur-Agra
On the second last day of your Rajasthan historical tour we will take you to the city of love Agra in Uttar Pradesh that holds the epitome of love – Taj Mahal. On your way visit world heritage site - Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary which is now known as Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park. This natural habitat is a popular avifauna sanctuary which gives shelter to thousands of rare birds like the Siberian Crane that comes here in the winter season.
Later continue your drive towards Agra. On arrival, Check-in at your pre booked hotel and proceed for the sightseeing tour of Agra. Attractions of the sightseeing tour are: Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and markets of Agra.

Day 15: Agra – Delhi – Onward Destination
Early in the morning, you will be taken to witness the exquisiteness of Taj Mahal at the time of sunrise. You will be overwhelmed to see the beauty that the rising sun will add to the white beauty of this one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Spend some time exploring the magnificent architecture of this pious monument which was built by great Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in loving memory of his third wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later you will drive back to Delhi.
On arrival in Delhi, our representative will transfer you to Delhi’s International airport to connect flight for your onward destination.
