Day 1 : Arrival at Leh.

Day 1 : Arrival at Leh.
Flight for Leh. In time transfer to domestic airport in order to board flight for Leh assisted by eLand Holidays representative. After reaching the destination Leh you will be greeted by our representatives followed by transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you to get familiar with the environment and do your own activities.

Day 2 : Visit to the Ancient Gompas - Shey, Thiksey and Hemis
You will go on a sightseeing trip to some ancient monasteries like Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. These are the three equally beautiful monasteries of the beautiful Leh. On the way to Hemis lies the Shey Gompa famous for its copper statues glided with gold. On the left side of the road to Hemis lies the Thiksey monastery, which offers a beautiful view of the Indus Valley. The Thiksey Gompa is also famous for its interesting wall paintings. From here, head towards Hemis, the most ancient, wealthiest and biggest Gompa in Leh. The beautiful paintings and stupas are also major attractions of this Gompa.
This excursion will be followed by overnight stay at the guest house.

Day 3 : Trip to Upshi – Hyamnya
After an early morning breakfast, you will ride 47 Km in the south east heading towards the small post at Upshi which is a village and a junction on the Manali-Leh Highway. From here, you will leave the highway and will continue due east towards the small town of Hyamnya about 35 Km where you will camp for the night. overnight in the Camp.

Day 4 : Hyamnya / Chumathang.
On the fourth day you will start a 60 km level ride towards the village of Chumathang (3965 Mt/13005 ft.) which is locally reputed for its curative hot springs considered to cure all kinds of body pain. Later in the evening you will have dinner.

Day 5 : Ride to Sumdo
Today, the ride goes all the way through a magnificent countryside. Till you reach the Mahe Bridge 23 Kms away, the beauty can be felt everywhere. To reach the village of Sumdo, you have to cross over and ride 14 km through a slender green gorge. You will camp near this village as in the evening you will get a chance to explore this village which also possesses a small gompa that has several preserved paintings.

Day 6 : From Sumdo to Karzok.
Soon after the breakfast you will leave for the village of Karzok located at the northern end of the splendid Tsomoriri Lake. This 43 km ride will take you through the expanded shrub land enclosed by undulating hills that attain extraordinary hues and colors varying from deep purple to cherry red and desert brown with the travelling of the sun. A small turquoise lake will also come across when we will traverse this land inhabited with colonies of Marmots and as you reach the village you will camp near the shores of this pleasant lake.

Day 7 : A Day at Karzok.
Seventh day you will have the pleasure to walk around this 24 km long lake located at an altitude of 4242 Mt. and 13786 ft. On the lake, you would see thousands of traveling birds drifting over the lake. You may spot geese and duck gliding over the lake. Around the lake you will also find the white-winged redstart, Asian martin, robin accentor, white throated dipper and finches

Day 8 : Ride to Tsokar to Explore the Wildlife.
Today, after an early morning breakfast you will move towards yet another spectacular lake, Tsokaror salt lake (4485 Mt/14711 ft). Later, you will head back towards the village of Puga. On turning your west, you will cross Pologongka-la (4940 Mt/16203 ft) that emerges into an enormous flat terrain of short grass and shrubs. The wildlife lovers will be elated to find an amazing wild life diversity that includes Tibetan Wild Ass (Kyang), Tibetan Wolf, the Woolly Hare, colonies of Marmots and Pica and the rarely found subtle snow leopard. The bird species vary from resident species like Common and Fork Tailed Swift, Himalayan Snow Cock, Sand and Eurasian Crag Martin and lot of others while you may also spot the Himalayan Griffon and the Large Lammergeyer spinning in the thermal currents high above.

Day 9 : Camping at Debring.
To reach Debring (4800 Mt/15744 ft), you have to ride through the vast lands of the More Plains. Debris is located on the main Manali-Leh highway. More range is bordered by mountain ranges from both sides. In summer, these plains become home to the rare Changpa Shepherds recognized by their large herds of sheep and goats. This excursion will be followed by dinner

Day 10 : Debring – Upshi.
On the tenth day, you move up to the second highest navigable pass in India, Tanglang La (5303 Mt/17393 ft). It passes through the Zanskar range. Ice crystals hanging from the cliff face create a mesmerizing sight in the dimness and create a gripping sight while crossing the pass. From here you will move down towards into the Indus valley and as you will cover 56 Kmyou will find yourself in the small village of Upshi. Here you will sleep outdoors at the Gya campsite set amid a vast valley.

Day 11 : Back to Leh.
After breakfast, you will head back towards Leh which will be a 60 km ride passing through the beautiful Indus Valley. By lunchtime you will reach the hotel in Leh where you will relax for rest of the day as your 10 day adventure comes to a beautiful end.
