Day 1 : Arrival at Leh.
Flight for Leh.
In time transfer to domestic airport in order to board flight for Leh assisted by eLand Holidays representative. After reaching the destination Leh you will be greeted by our representatives followed by transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free for you to get familiar with the environment and do your own activities.

Day 2 : Visit to Stok and Leh Palace
After a nutritious breakfast, you will leave for the day to visit the Stok palace. Stok palace museum belongs to the Royal Family. Here you will find a rich collection of ornaments, traditional clothing and thankas but it is open to the public only in the presence of the Queen of Stok. Stok Gompa is associated with the Spituk Gompa and was founded in the 14th century. It belongs to the yellow-hat sect of Buddhism and at present has about twenty Lamas living there.

Post lunch you will visit Leh, a captivating web of twisting streets and old fashioned bazaars. On either sides of the street you will observe a long line of Ladakhi women dressed in their traditional outfit wearing colorful jewelry settled at the back of huge baskets, selling vegetables. Afterwards you will proceed towards nine storey high Leh Palace that was built in the 17th century. From the roof one would experience panoramic views of Leh and neighboring areas as the palace is situated at a height dominating the town.
2km from the market, you will find the Sankar Gompa which is the official Residence of The Kushok Bakul, Ladakh's Head of the Gelukpa Sect. it possesses a rich collection of wall paintings and several pure gold icons.
Later in the evening you will return back to the hotel.

Day 3 : Trip to Age Old Monasteries- Shey, Thiksey and Hemis
After breakfast, you will go on your trip to explore some of Ladakh's ancient gompas. First you will visit Shey Gompa that is situated on a small hill at a distance of 15km to the south of Leh town. Shey Gompa was founded in 17th century by King Deldon Namgyal. Inside the monastery, there is a large image of seated Buddha Shalyamuni which is considered to be the largest metal statue and the second largest Buddha statue in the region of Ladakh made up of copper sheets and is gilded with gold.
At Shey Gompa, on the 30th day of the first month of the Tibetan calendar, an annual festival is also held.

Thiksey Monastery is one of the most beautiful monasteries of Central Ladakh belonging to the Gelukpa Order of Buddhism. This Gompa is a twelve storied building with 10 temples and nunnery inside it. Gustor ritual which is planned from the 17th to 19th day of the ninth month of the Tibetan calendar takes place in the Thiksey Monastery.
Across the Indus River lays the Ladakh’s largest and richest Gompa, 48 km away from Leh which was founded in 1630 by the first incarnation Stagsang Raspa Nawang Gyatso. The Hemis Gompa is a huge and a spectacular building where one can found at least 150 Lamas living at any time of the year.
Hemis monastery is famous for a huge painting of Buddha which is displayed before the public only once in 11 years. The popular Hemis Festival is held every year in the month of June or July at Hemis monastery. The festival is a remembrance to the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhav.

Every year on 9th and 10th day of the fifth month of the Tibetan calendar, the famous sacred mask dance is performed at the monastery.
Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 4 : Adventurous Raft Trip.
On the fourth day, get ready for an adventurous raft trip. Soon after the breakfast you will head towards the Indus valley embark on a raft trip. While moving downstream you will cross spectacular rock formations and granite outgrowths scattered in the open stretches of harvested land.
In the glow of early evening, with sun setting down, you will drive back to Ladakh Sarai to spend your.

Day 5 : Excursion to Spitok and Phyang Monasteries
After the morning meal you will visit Spitok Monastery. The Spituk monastery of Ladakh is situated at a distance of 8km from Leh, dates back to 11th century. This monastery was founded by Od-de, the elder brother to Lha Lama Changchub Od. The word ‘Spituk’ means ‘Exemplary’ which has been derived from the statement of translator, Rinchen Zangpo.
Spituk Gompa is the venue to the famous Gustor Festival, held every year from the 27th to 29th day in the eleventh month of the Tibetan calendar during which a sacred dance also forms a part of the revelry.

Afterwards, you will continue towards Phyang Gompa which is well known as Gouon Gompa in Ladakhi which means ‘Blue Peak’ as this gompa is situated on a beautiful hilltop overlooking a small village. Phyang Gompa is popular for its 900 years old museum. Inside the monastery complex there are number of sacred shrines along with some beautiful wall paintings representing the royal period

Day 6 : Catch Flight for Delhi.
Early in the morning, after the breakfast our representatives will assist you to the Leh airport from where you will board the flight for Delhi and will say good bye to the beautiful Leh.
